Beware of Targeted Scams

Jon Web Design clients have recently been targeted by email scams requesting extra funds, do not transfer anything to this scam.

If you have been contacted from an unoffical email/gmail/social account other than the ones listed on this website please be aware that this is a targed scam and should be reported. If you are ever in doubt about the legitmacy of an invoice or charge please contact me on my offical number.

The email contained:

"The required updates are not included in the regular monthly subscription fee. They involve additional work, including the domain renewal, application/setup requirements, technical corrections, and final testing"

Or

"I’m reaching out to bring an important update regarding your website to your attention.

We have received a notification from the website builder used to build your website, advising that several items associated with the website require attention this month. According to the notification, these items need to be reviewed and addressed before October 09

The items highlighted in the notification include the domain renewal, required application setup, and outstanding technical issues identified during the website audit"

Jon Web Design does not take payments via PayPal, Venmo or Zelle.

No Jon Web Design accounts or private contact data has been breached as far as i am aware but its being investigated, it looks like the portfolio was scraped for contacts, please reach out if you have received any email like this.
